Meet Jo
In my 40s the chronic asthma that had affected me in early childhood re-emerged, and coupled with numerous courses of antibiotics for chest infections knocked me sideways. This period led me to study naturopathic nutrition with the College of Natural Medicine and was transformative, opening my eyes to the meaningful health changes, vibrancy and balance that can be achieved through diet, lifestyle and commitment. I needed to make changes but didn't understand the 'why' and the 'how'. Sorting out my sleep, gut health and constipation was a game changer and affirmed that our body knows healing.
'Treating the person and not the disease' seems obvious, but has struggled to be heard. I feel passionately that our daily habits create health or can lead to dysfunction. Naturopathic nutrition (sometimes coupled with functional testing) addresses the root cause of a health concern with a protocol tailored to individual need. We work together to create sustainable strategies that promote the body's own self-healing mechanisms to optimise health and wellbeing. Whether young or older, we deserve to live a life that's well.
I am currently completing a Diploma in Naturopathy.
I help stressed people, young & older, live a life that's well
In an increasingly toxic world, Naturopathic Nutrition and functional testing is a powerful way to aid health problems and imbalances, to return a sense of vitality ~ to reduce stress, sleep well and relax, balance hormonal changes and mood swings, improve immunity, address debilitating skin complaints, help concentration, reduce anxiety and improve confidence.
